Publisher Description
The Instant #1 New York Times Bestseller!
What is wrong meets what feels right in this romance set in Italy by the New York Times bestselling author of Deep End.
Maya Killgore is twenty-three and still in the process of figuring out her life.
Conor Harkness is thirty-eight, and Maya cannot stop thinking about him.
It’s such a cliché, it almost makes her heart implode: older man and younger woman; successful biotech guy and struggling grad student; brother’s best friend and the girl he never even knew existed. As Conor loves to remind her, the power dynamic is too imbalanced. Any relationship between them would be problematic in too many ways to count, and Maya should just get over him. After all, he has made it clear that he wants her gone from his life.
But not everything is as it seems—and clichés sometimes become plot twists.
When Maya’s brother decides to get married in Taormina, she and Conor end up stuck together in a romantic Sicilian villa for over a week. There, on the beautiful Ionian coast, between ancient ruins, delicious foods, and natural caves, Maya realizes that Conor might be hiding something from her. And as the destination wedding begins to erupt out of control, she decides that a summer fling might be just what she needs—even if it’s a problematic one.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Nothing burns hotter than a desire for what you can’t have in this irresistible rom-com from Ali Hazelwood. Maya has always had a thing for her big brother Eli’s BFF, Conor. But he’s made it 100 percent clear that between their family connection and their age gap (she’s 23, he’s 38), it just wouldn’t be right. Maya doesn’t disagree, but she still kinda yearns for him. And when they’re trapped in close proximity for Eli’s destination wedding in Italy, she comes to the shocking realization that maybe, just maybe, he wants her too. This delicious slow-burn smolder features just about everything that Hazelwood does best, including a handsome, brooding love interest with a deep yearning lurking just beneath the surface. We almost couldn’t handle it when we started putting the pieces together and realized the true, deliriously romantic meaning behind so many of Conor’s words and gestures. Let the red flags fly as you escape into this sexy, sun-drenched read.

Terrific story that you will enjoy more if you read “Not In Love” first. Eli and Rue’s story sets up this book.
She Did Again!
Ali Hazelwood is now Officially my go-to romance author for a great romantic read. Her writing just clicks for me and is always a guaranteed fun time. I have yet to read a book from AH that I didn’t thoroughly enjoy.

Possibly my favorite book so far this year!
Nice love story but
I enjoyed the love story but the author introduces way too many characters. Very hard to follow. Takes a few chapters to figure out what’s going on. And hard to remember details from the beginning of the book because you are so focused on trying to keep all the characters straight. And the flashbacks feel out of context in the beginning
