Don’t Listen to that one guy
The first review that I saw for this book was a two star rating that whined about how the change to different perspectives of people among Darrows conquests took away from the central story that we’re used too. This new change was phenomenal and adds so much to the story we’ve grown to love and be inspired by. Pierce Brown deserves whatever the Nobel prize equivalent for being an amazing author is. I’d give it six stars if I could.
Voice acting issue
It took me about half way through this book to adjust to the new style but by the next book in the series it found its legs and then it exploded in all of its grandeur!
Did not enjoy
You can really tell they pushed this book out to keep the money flowing. They make you hate the main character and I didn’t like any of the new characters. Lysanders chapters adding nothing to the book.
Audiobook- the new narrators were not good. The female made Lyria whiny and annoying and the narrator for Efram made me almost stop listening all together. He called Sevro servo over and over again, tried too hard on accents and I constantly had to increase and decrease the volume for his chapters. When he would speak as characters he would basically whisper
